Salvaging Vintage Comic Books

Recently Brisbane suffered some severe flooding. As there is a lot to do in cleaning up, myself and a bunch of people from my youth group went out and helped. We emptied out houses, ripped out carpet and went through photo albums.
I myself kept an eye out for things that were sitting on the kerb, waiting to be thrown into the multiple garbage trucks driving around. I did find a couple of things- 2 really funky comic books from around the 1950's, a pair of horns, a fridge(which i didn't take home) and some old records.
I dried out each smelly, wet page of the books i found, it was quite exciting to see each page peel away.
